Primedia Studios, <a href="https://primediastudio.com/">one of Africa’s foremost producers of premium content</a>, has entered into a groundbreaking co-production agreement with Opulent Entertainment Group, led by internationally acclaimed actor, writer, producer, and entrepreneur Denim Richards.

The collaboration will see the two entertainment giants bring African audiences local adaptations of some of the world’s most iconic television talent formats Project Runway, The Voice, Dancing with the Stars, and Idols.

Richards, best known for his role alongside Kevin Costner in the hit US drama Yellowstone, has steadily become a driving force in developing Africa’s entertainment ecosystem. Through Opulent Entertainment Group which he co-founded with celebrated <a href="https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0239228/">South African director Mandla Dube Richards</a> has championed initiatives that nurture emerging talent and build sustainable creative infrastructure across film, theatre, and television.

The group has already made waves on the international stage with Heart of the Hunter, a Netflix crime thriller based on Deon Meyer’s bestselling novel. The film achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first African title to claim the number-one spot on the platform worldwide, racking up over 11 million views in its first week.

For Primedia Studios, the partnership signals a bold step in its mission to elevate African storytelling.
