For years, conversations around representation often focused on what was missing. But moments like this feel different. It shows what happens when Black actors, filmmakers, and storytellers are not just included, but given the spotlight. And leading that moment was Sinners.

With 16 nominations and four major wins, Sinners didn’t just compete, it held its ground among the night’s biggest and most talked-about contenders

At the center of it all was Michael B. Jordan, whose Best Actor win for his dual role as Smoke and Stack became one of the defining moments of the night.
